Cox Withdraws Pick For Utah Air Quality Board

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Salt Lake County Councilmember Suzanne Harrison is no longer in the running for the Utah Air Quality Board. Governor Cox withdrew the nomination after a Senate committee failed to move her through to the full chamber. The committee vote was a tie, with three Republicans voting against the former Democratic state lawmaker. Harrison tweeted her disappointment but will continue her work to “promote policies that protect” the air and health of everybody in Utah.
