(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah lawmakers will have a great deal to discuss before they return to the State Capitol for their next session in January. Interim committees will be holding hearings throughout the year and the topics up for discussion were released yesterday. Lawmakers will keep working on ways to conserve water and preserve the Great Salt Lake. They also plan to tackle homelessness and affordable housing, education and employment and property taxes. Drag shows are also on the list of topics, with lawmakers saying they want to explore how the state can keep children from exposure to adult-oriented events.
