Utah Ties Snow Water Equivalent Record

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The National Weather Service is reporting that Utah has tied its record for “snow water equivalent.” Snow water equivalent is defined as “the amount of water available in snow.” The weather service says the state reached 23-point-one inches yesterday, which matches the high for March 15th. The weather service added that it expects new records to be set “for the coming days.”
