(Washington, DC) — Senator Mike Lee is unhappy with President Biden’s executive order to help reduce gun violence. The Utah Republican tweeted yesterday that the “constitutional right to bear arms in public for self-defense is not a second-class right.” That was a follow-up to his statement saying Biden had overstepped his executive authority and ignored Congress by issuing Tuesday’s order. The order directs federal agencies to monitor compliance with existing gun regulations, including background checks and extreme protection orders.
