KANSAS CITY-Tuesday, Utah men’s basketball star senior power forward Branden Carlson was named to the NABC 1st team all-19 district.
The former Bingham High School star averaged 16.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game for the Utes this past season.
Carlson, a native of South Jordan, also achieved Pac-12 and The Associated Press honors for his attainments in 2022-23.
Carlson has one more year of eligibility if he opts to return to the Utah program.
Carlson was joined on the all-19 district first team by

USC senior point guard Boogie Ellis
UCLA senior small forward Jaime Jaquez Jr.
Arizona junior forward Ąžuolas Tubelis
The district coach of the year is UCLA head coach Mick Cronin.
Cronin led the Bruins to a 29-5 (.853) record this season and a No. 2 seed in the West regional in this week’s NCAA Tournament.
