(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Legislature will finish its 45-day session today in Salt Lake City. Multiple bills were moved to the governor’s desk yesterday, including a pair of bills that crack down on social media companies. Parental consent will be required for children to be active on their platforms and lawsuits for harm caused by social media will also be easier to file. The legislature also approved a bill that will close abortion clinics in the state by requiring any abortions to be performed at hospitals and medical clinics.
