(Salt Lake City, UT) — A Utah lawmaker wants the state to stop making kid entrepreneurs follow the same rules as adult business operators. State Senator Jake Anderegg has introduced a measure in the legislature that would exempt kids who operate lemonade stands from regulations that apply to vendors at farmer’s markets. He says those kids are just trying to learn business basics and self-sufficiency, which is something the state should encourage. The bill passed the Senate Business and Labor Committee unanimously this week.
