Utah Lawmakers Outline Priorities Ahead Of Legislative Session

(Salt Lake City, UT) — State lawmakers are giving Utahns a preview of their priorities ahead of the next session of the Utah Legislature. Governor Cox, House Speaker Brad Wilson and Senate President Stuart Adams were among the lawmakers appearing yesterday at an event held by the Salt Lake Chamber. Lawmakers agreed that Utah has a housing problem and changes might be coming to force communities to allow more affordable housing developments. Democrats and Republicans also want more tax cuts as well as an increase in pay for Utah teachers. The new session of the legislature is set to begin Tuesday.
