Traffic Deaths In Utah Declined 3.6% Last Year

(Salt Lake City, UT) — State officials say traffic deaths in Utah declined last year, but they are still unhappy with the overall numbers. The Utah Department of Public Safety and the state Department of Transportation announced yesterday that 320 people died on the roads last year. That’s down three-point-six percent from 2021. A spokesman for UDOT said the number of traffic-related deaths is unacceptable, and he urged all Utahns to take steps to ensure the safety of passengers, pedestrians and everyone else who uses state roads.
