Bill Allocates $25M For Study That Includes Great Salt Lake

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A bill signed by President Biden this week could help provide new data on the crisis affecting the Great Salt Lake. The bill signed on Tuesday will give the U.S. Geological Survey 25-million dollars to assess and monitor saline lake ecosystems in the West. Researchers hope the data generated by the agency could help spur solutions to the dropping water levels in the Great Salt Lake and elsewhere. The bill was co-sponsored by Utah Senator Mitt Romney and Congressman Blake Moore.
