DENVER-Tuesday, Utah Valley senior guard Trey Woodbury was named the TicketSmarter WAC men’s basketball player of the week because of his strong showing in the Wolverines’ 77-72 win over Oregon December 20.

Monday, Woodbury, who posted 24 points, nine rebounds, six assists and three steals against the Pac-12 Ducks, was named as the Lou Henson National Player of the Week.

The native of Las Vegas is averaging 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists per game for the 9-4 Wolverines.

UVU commences its WAC season Thursday by hosting the Sam Houston Bearkats.
