Gov. Cox Thinks Tax Cuts Will Help With Inflation

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Cox thinks his proposed one-billion-dollars in tax cuts will help soften the impacts of inflation. That was his sentiment during his monthly PBS news conference on Thursday. Cox says state tax cuts won’t be like rebates or incentives from the federal government, in that they’ll be helping Utahns get money back without inflating the price of goods and services. The governor also says tax cuts will need to be fine-tuned by state lawmakers during the legislative session that starts next month.
