GARLAND, Utah-Gehrig Marble posted 11 points and 8 rebounds and the Class 4A Bear River Bears got past North Sanpete 51-45 Thursday at the Bear River Winter Classic. Tyler Allan’s game-high 12 points led the Hawks in the loss.

Desert Hills Holiday Classic
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Nicole Willardson posted 16 points and the Richfield Wildcats hammered Class 5A Box Elder 56-37 at the Desert Hills Holiday Classic Thursday at Desert Hills High School. Ashlyn Wight’s 13 points led the Bees in defeat.
Non-Region
DRAPER, Utah-Samantha Kartchner netted 22 points and the Draper APA Eagles waxed North Sanpete 72-54 in non-region girls basketball play Thursday. Kortley Cook led the Hawks in the loss with 15 points.
SALT LAKE CITY-Rilee Dyreng led the way with 18 points and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs pounded Rowland Hall 50-24 Thursday in non-region girls basketball play. Heidi Paisley recorded 16 points in defeat for the Winged Lions.
NEPHI, Utah-Emmy Lovell posted 13 points and the Juab Wasps humbled Canyon View 41-33 in non-region girls basketball play Thursday. Maya Nichols had 7 points in the loss for the Falcons.
BEAVER, Utah-Talia Alisa’s 24 points led the Beaver Beavers to a 53-36 rout of Class 4A Crimson Cliffs Thursday in non-region girls basketball play. Samiyah Jones’ 9 points led the Mustangs in defeat.
