(Hill Air Force Base, UT) — Investigators are trying to determine why an F-35 jet crashed yesterday evening at Hill Air Force Base. The jet crashed on the north end of a runway at the base around 6:15 p.m. The pilot ejected from the jet and was taken to a medical center for evaluation. His condition has not been released. The crash caused a small brush fire that burned about ten acres before it was controlled. Governor Cox tweeted that he has been in contact with leaders at the base and that his office is continuing to monitor the situation.
