Heat Wave Causing Fish To Die

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Extreme temperatures are causing Utah’s fish to die. Biologists with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources say over 80 salmon died at Lost Creek Reservoir during the recent heatwave. Dead catfish were also found at the Jensen Nature Park pond in Syracuse and the Farmington Pond. The agency was scheduled to restock bodies of water with fish soon, but they’ll skip over drought-impacted areas.
