SALT LAKE CITY-Michael Stefanic and Orlando Martinez recorded key RBI and the Salt Lake Bees downed Sacramento 8-6 Friday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
The Bees overcame significant adversity, including a weather delay which pushed back the opening pitch and a 4-0 deficit to record their first win of the series against the River Cats.
Kyle Barraclough earned the win on the mound for the Bees, posting a strikeout in one inning of work. Barraclough is 4-3 on the season for the Bees.
Steele Walker homered in the loss for Sacramento.
Salt Lake improved to 52-57 on the season while the River Cats fell to 47-62.
The series resumes Saturday at Smith’s Ballpark at 6:35 pm.
