Celebration Of Utah’s Indigenous People Held In Salt Lake City

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The arrival of Mormon settlers isn’t the only history being celebrated in Utah. A celebration of the state’s Indigenous people was held in Salt Lake City’s Liberty Park on Saturday. The Native American Celebration in the Park emphasized that Native American culture is still here. The celebration included Native American music and dancing. Utah was named after the Ute Tribe.
