Rockies, Raptors, Split Saturday Doubleheader

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Saturday, the Grand Junction Rockies and Ogden Raptors split a doubleheader at Suplizio Field.

In the first game, Casey Petersen and Shawn Ross homered as the Grand Junction Rockies dismantled Ogden 4-2.

Roberto Baldenebro posted four strikeouts in six innings of work for Grand Junction .

Dakota Conners homered in defeat for Ogden.

In the second game, Ogden responded with an 8-3 victory. Jesus Valdez homered twice and Andrew Noviello also went yard in the win for the Raptors.

Christian Day earned the win on the mound for Ogden by tossing four strikeouts in six innings of work.

Ross homered again for the Rockies in defeat.

Headed into Sunday’s series finale at Suplizio Field, the Raptors and Rockies are each 15-14.
