SALT LAKE CITY-Dillon Thomas and David MacKinnon homered and the Salt Lake Bees edged El Paso 6-5 Sunday at Smith’s Ballpark to conclude their series against the Chihuahuas in Pacific Coast League play.

Davis Daniel posted eight strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Salt Lake Daniel is now 3-1 on the season for the Bees.

Matthew Batten homered in defeat for the Chihuahuas, who fell to 30-24 with the loss. The Bees improve to 29-25 on the season with the win.

The Bees take Monday off before commecing a series against the Tacoma Rainiers Tuesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
