(Washington, DC) — The U.S. Census Bureau says the population of Utah was overcounted during the 2020 Census. The bureau announced yesterday that Utah was one of eight states where population numbers may have been inflated due to an overcount. An analysis by Census officials estimates the overcount at around two-point-five percent. The Census Bureau has not said if they will make any adjustments in population figures due to under or overcounts during the 2020 count.
