Senator Mike Lee Remembers Orrin Hatch In Speech On U.S. Senate Floor

(Washington, DC) — Senator Mike Lee is remembering Orrin Hatch as a pioneer and a mentor who never forgot his Utah roots. The Utah Republican paid tribute to Hatch during a speech on the U.S. Senate floor yesterday. Lee talked about his admiration for Hatch after working for him as a Senate page, and said Hatch once sent him a letter and a ten-dollar check while Lee was serving as a missionary in Texas. Lee says he cherished the letter and could never cash the check, which he calls a prized possession. Senator Mitt Romney is set to remember Hatch during a speech on the Senate floor later today.
