(Washington, DC) — Republican Senator Mike Lee plans to vote against advancing the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the full Senate. Senator Lee cited lowered sentences given by Judge Jackson in child pornography cases and a child rape case. Jackson’s nomination is expected to advance to the full Senate for a final confirmation vote, without Republican support in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
