Snow College softball coach resigns

The Snow College Softball team underwent some unexpected changes this week with the resignation of Head Coach Chad Carpenter.

Citing reasons of personal health and distance from home Carpenter submitted his resignation from Snow College. Savannah Lindsay will finish the season as the interim coach.

“Savannah has the full support of the administration and the team,” said Athletic Director Rob Nielson. “I have confidence that Savannah will rise to the challenge and finish the season strong for the Snow College softball program.”

The Badgers faced the Bruins of Salt Lake Community College in their first games with the new head coach and played hard and came up with one win in the four games in Salt Lake City. Snow College lost 3-5 and 0-7 on Friday and split the games on Saturday losing 8-9 and then winning 10-7.

The Badgers will be at home again this week as they host the number one team in the conference, the College of Southern Idaho. Games are Friday at 1 and 3pm and Saturday at noon and 2pm.
