Clayton Isbell Commits to Utah Football

SALT LAKE CITY-Sunday, Utah football received a commitment from former Illinois State safety Clayton Isbell.

In three seasons with the NCAA FCS Redbirds, Isbell posted 101 tackles, 5 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks, 2 interceptions and 6 deflected passes.

At 6-2 and 220 pounds, Isbell played a physical brand of coverage at Illinois State. However, he can also play tough against both the run and the pass, per 247Sports.

He is also swift at diagnosing offensive formations and has a nose for the football.

Isbell comes to the Utes as a junior in eligibility and has two seasons of eligibility left for the Utes.
