(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah Senate President J. Stuart Adams says Governor Cox should not follow through on his promise to veto a transgender youth sports ban passed by the legislature. During a forum yesterday in Salt Lake City, Adams said he expects the ban to be blocked once it faces a court challenge. That would allow the formation of a commission to determine the eligibility of transgender athletes to play youth sports. Adams said he wants that commission formed, and that the governor’s veto would erase all the work done on the issue during the legislative session.
