RICHFIELD, Utah-Tuck Davis posted 22 points and 8 rebounds and the No. 3 Manila Mustangs overpowered No. 6 Tabiona 52-38 in the 1A state quarterfinals Thursday at the Sevier Valley Center. Carter Curry posted 11 points and 4 rebounds in defeat for the Tigers. Manila next plays against No. 2 Piute Friday at 8:30 pm in the state semifinals.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Brooks Dalton amassed 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists on 8-14 from the field as the No. 2 Piute Thunderbirds bested No. 7 Diamond Ranch 80-48 at the Sevier Valley Center Thursday in the 1A state quarterfinals. Andres Foloschini had 16 points for the Diamondbacks in the loss.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Tucker Chappell posted 10 points on 5-5 from the field and the No. 1 Panguitch Bobcats advanced to the 7:00 pm semifinal Friday by outlasting the No. 9 Valley Buffaloes 18-14. McCoy Harris had 5 points for the Buffaloes in the loss. Panguitch next faces No. 4 Bryce Valley in the state semifinals. Valley next faces No. 5 Whitehorse in the 1A one-loss bracket Friday at 1:00 pm at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Miles Roberts posted 27 points and 7 rebounds as the No. 4 Bryce Valley Mustangs dismantled No. 5 Whitehorse 65-49 Friday in the 1A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center Wednesday. Lyric Phillips had 17 points on 5-5 from the field in defeat for the Raiders.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Jake Batty’s 18 points led the way and the No. 14 Wayne Badgers routed No. 11 Monument Valley 58-34 in the the 1A consolation bracket Thursday at Richfield High School. Seth Sheppard had 13 points in defeat for the Cougars. Wayne next faces No. 15 Milford Friday at 2:30 pm in the consolation semifinals at Richfield High School.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Mersadie Rhoades made a free throw in the closing seconds and the No. 2 Tabiona Tigers survived with a narrow 34-33 win over No. 10 Escalante Thursday in the 1A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center. Abbie Rhoades had 17 points and 6 rebounds for the Tigers in the win. Nadia Griffin netted 10 points and 4 rebounds on 4-7 in the loss for the Moquis. Tabiona next faces No. 6 Rich Friday at 5:30 pm in the state semifinals.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Ambria Lutz posted 15 points and the No. 6 Rich Rebels bested No. 14 Milford 49-28 in the 1A state quarterfinals Thursday at the Sevier Valley Center. Jaleana Tsosie’s 11 points and 12 rebounds led the Tigers in the loss.
Milford and Escalante meet in the consolation bracket Friday at 10:00 am at the Sevier Valley Center.

Melissa Jessop had 16 points and 10 rebounds in the loss for the Wildcats. Piute next advances to the Friday semifinal at 4:00 pm at the Sevier Valley Center to play against No. 4 seed Panguitch.
