(Salt Lake City, UT) — Republican Senator Mike Lee filed the paperwork this morning to run for a third term. Lee posted a picture to Twitter, showing him in the State Elections’s Office to make his campaign official. Senator Lee could face an uphill battle within his own party as former state Representative Becky Edwards and Ally Isom challenge him in the Republican primary. Both candidates have taken shots at Lee for seeking another term after he strongly advocated for a two-term limit for U.S. senators.
