(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox is honoring refugees from Afghanistan who have relocated to Utah. During a ceremony yesterday at the State Capitol, Cox greeted some of the 900 refugees who have resettled in the state. The refugees were also applauded by members of the Utah House, who stood and clapped as they looked on from the House gallery. Cox said he was proud of the effort, adding that it was breathtaking to see how quickly Utahns rallied to support and welcome the refugees.
