ST. GEORGE, Utah-Thursday, Dixie State senior forward Hunter Schofield and Utah State graduate forward Justin Bean were named to the 2021-22 CoSIDA Division I Academic All-District 8 Men’s Basketball Team.
Schofield and Bean next advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-American ballot where they will be eligible to be voted to the first, second or third teams in March.
Schofield has a 3.94 GPA in Exercise Science and is a two-time CoSIDA all-district selection after having earned these honors last May.
Bean has a 3.34/3.33 GPA in Kinesiology and Nutrition Science.
Schofield leads the Trailblazers in points (14.4 ppg) and rebounds (5.9) per game.
Bean leads the Aggies in points (18.4 ppg) and rebounds (9.9) per game as well.
Schofield and Bean are joined on this team by Pacific senior forward Alphonso Anderson (3.85 GPA; Media and Public Relations) and Stanford teammates, junior forward James Keefe (3.86 GPA; Economics) and sophomore point guard Michael O’Connell (3.78 GPA; undeclared).
