OGDEN, Utah-Friday, Weber State head football coach Jay Hill announced the hiring of Mickey Mental as the Wildcats’ new offensive coordinator.
Mental will also serve as Weber State’s quarterbacks coach.
Mental, a native of Olmstead, Ohio, spent the last two season as the head coach at NCAA Division II Notre Dame College of Euclid, Ohio.
While there, Mental led the Falcons to a 16-2 (.889) record.
Mental was named the Mountain East Conference coach of the year in 2021 and during his tenure, a program-record 22 players earned all-conference honors.
Prior to his time at NDC, Mental spent one season as the quarterbacks coach at Brookside High School of Sheffield, Ohio.
Mental played college football at NCAA Division III Baldwin-Wallace of Berea, Ohio. While there, he was a three-year starting quarterback for the Yellow Jackets.
