LOGAN, Utah-Wednesday, Utah State head football coach Blake Anderson announced LaMarcus Hicks as the Aggies’ new cornerbacks coach.
Hicks, a former standout safety at Iowa State (6 career interceptions for the Cyclones in 2004 and 2005) also played for the Detroit Lions in 2007 and 2008. While with the Lions, Hicks posted 12 tackles, including eight solo stops.
Hicks brings 10 years of collegiate coaching experience to the Aggies.
He was most recently the cornerbacks’ coach at Eastern Michigan for the past two seasons. He also served as the Eagles’ recruiting coordinator in 2021.
Hicks has also coached at Bowling Green, NCAA FCS Jackson State, North Texas, NAIA Concordia-Ann Arbor (Mich.), Truman High School of Taylor, Mich. and at NCAA Division III Rhodes College of Memphis, Tenn.
Hicks is a native of Clarksdale, Miss. and received a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from Iowa State in 2006.
