An update has been provided on the missing woman in Ephraim. In a post to their Facebook page just after 2:00 p.m. on Feb. 3 the Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office shared that, unfortunately Shirlene Peterson was found deceased. She suffered form dementia and had wandered from her residence sometime between 2:30 and 5:00 a.m. Feb. 3.

No other details were provided as this is still an open investigation and the Ephraim City Police Department will be investigating the circumstances of this case. In their post, the Sheriff’s Office offered their condolences to the family and thanked all that assisted in the search.
