(Provo, UT) – Brigham Young University is adding a new requirement for incoming employees who are practicing members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The LDS Church-owned school will require new workers to also hold a current temple recommend, but the requirement is not retroactive to current employees. Church members receive a recommendation to enter the temple if they are upholding faith teachings and are regular church attendees. The new rule also applies to BYU’s Idaho and Hawaii campuses, as well as Ensign College in Salt Lake City.
