The Sixth District Judicial Nominating Commission has selected nominees for a vacancy on the Sixth District Court. The Vacancy is a result of the retirement of Judge Wallace A. Lee happening Apr. 1. The nominees for this vacancy are: county attorney Kevin Daniels, deputy county attorney Mandy Larsen, attorney Michael Mathie, judge Mark McIff and county attorney Robert Van Dyke.
Written comments can be submitted to the Sixth District Judicial Nominating Commission at judicialvacancies@utah.gov. The deadline for written comments is noon on Feb. 7. After the public comment period, the names will be sent to Gov. Spencer J. Cox, who will have 30 days to make an appointment.
Utah’s Sixth District encompasses Sanpete, Sevier, Piute, Wayne, Garfield and Kane counties.
