(Salt Lake City, UT) — Democrats and Republicans are giving positive reviews to the governor’s State of the State speech. In a tweet, Senate President J. Stuart Adams agreed with the governor that Utah is the hope of America and pledged to work with the Cox Administration on issues like education, water and infrastructure. House Speaker Brad Wilson said that much of the governor’s agenda is in line with the priorities Wilson outlined on the first day of the session. House and Senate Democrats said afterward that they agree with some of the governor’s proposals, even though they have their own priorities that they will push during the legislative session.
