MOAB, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats ran away from Grand County 51-28 Friday in Region 12 boys basketball action.
Region 14
MANTI, Utah-Landon Bowles led the way with 19 points on 8-11 from the field as the North Sanpete Hawks broke a 10-game losing streak on the hardwood to Manti with a 58-51 victory Friday in Region 14 boys basketball action.
The Hawks were +16 (36-20) in the second half to improve to 11-2 on the season and 1-0 in Region 14 play.
Kayson Douglas had 16 points on 6-6 at the foul line in defeat for the Templars, who fell to 8-7 and 1-1 in Region 14 play.
North Sanpete returns to action Wednesday at Roosevelt to face the Union Cougars and Manti hosts Juab Wednesday with Region 14 play ensuing for all of these aforementioned squads.
NEPHI, Utah-Justin Christensen stepped up with 17 points and the Juab Wasps outlasted Delta 63-57 in overtime Friday in Region 14 boys basketball play. Cai Henderson’s game-high 25 points led the Rabbits in defeat.
Region 16
COALVILLE, Utah-Keaton Hallows led the way with 10 points and the North Sevier Wolves surged past North Summit 58-45 in Region 16 boys basketball play Friday. Trey Pace posted 28 points and 10 rebounds for the Braves in the loss.
GUNNISON, Utah-Hunter Rhodes scored 19 points as the Millard Eagles topped Gunnison Valley 55-38 in Region 16 boys basketball action Friday.
Region 19
MONROE, Utah-Jensen Grover stepped up with 16 points and the San Juan Broncos got past South Sevier 60-53 Friday in Region 19 boys basketball play. Ridge Tebbs had 15 points for the Rams in defeat.
BEAVER, Utah-Jordan Cornell’s 27 points and 5 assists led the Kanab Cowboys to a 55-39 win over Beaver in Region 19 boys basketball play Friday. Conner Crum netted 14 points and 10 rebounds in defeat for the Beavers.
Girls Basketball
Region 19
BLANDING, Utah-Hayzen Taylor, Emmalie Peterson and Aspen Okerlund had 13 points apiece and the South Sevier Rams pounded San Juan 62-27 Friday in Region 19 girls basketball play. Halli Palmer had 9 points in the loss for the Broncos.
Non-Region
TROPIC, Utah-Amanda Chynoweth posted 12 points and the Bryce Valley Mustangs edged Gunnison Valley 25-21 in non-region girls basketball play Friday. Rilee Dyreng led the Bulldogs in the loss with 12 points.
