Region 12
PRICE, Utah-Nicole Willardson led the way with 24 points and the Richfield Wildcats hammered Carbon 53-36 in Region 12 girls basketball play Thursday. Madi Orth netted 10 points and 4 rebounds for the Dinos in the loss.
Region 14
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Sharlie Alder had 15 points and the Manti Templars waxed North Sanpete 55-50 Thursday in Region 14 girls basketball action. Eryn Briggs posted a game-high 18 points for the Hawks in the loss.
DELTA, Utah-Kate Smith netted 16 points and the Delta Rabbits pounded Juab 53-27 at the Palladium Thursday in Region 14 girls basketball play. Avia Stowell led the Wasps with 12 points in defeat.
Region 16
COALVILLE, Utah-Hartlyn Richins posted 12 points and 5 rebounds and the North Summit Braves edged North Sevier 49-47 in Region 16 girls basketball play Thursday. Brooklyn Butler’s game-high 13 points led the Wolves in defeat.
GUNNISON, Utah-Kara Camp led the way with 16 points as the Millard Eagles clobbered Gunnison Valley 53-25 Thursday in Region 15 girls basketball play. Raven Pickett led the Bulldogs in defeat with 13 points.
Region 18
PROVO, Utah-Tameryn Koford stepped up with 21 points and the Freedom Prep Eagles soared past Wasatch Academy 61-12 in Region 18 girls basketball action Thursday. Marion Ooma had 6 points for the Tigers in the loss.
Region 19
KANAB, Utah-Talia Alisa led the way with 14 points and the Beaver Beavers humbled the Kanab Lady Cowboys 41-36 Thursday in Region 19 girls basketball play. Anna Cutler led Kanab in defeat with 12 points.
Region 20
PANGUITCH, Utah-Tabbie Henrie netted 12 points and the Panguitch Bobcats drilled Escalante 54-33 in Region 20 girls basketball play Thursday. Mikki Prows led the Moquis with 12 points in the loss.
TROPIC, Utah-Janilyn Hoyt led the way with 21 points and the Valley Buffaloes waxed Bryce Valley 56-45 Thursday in Region 20 girls basketball play. Reagan Syrett led the Mustangs in defeat with 18 points.
JUNCTION, Utah-Kassidy Westwood stepped up with 16 points and the Piute Thunderbirds edged Wayne 45-41 in Region 20 girls basketball play Thursday. Hali Peterson had 15 points for the Badgers in the loss.
MILFORD, Utah-Melissa Jessop had 23 points and the Water Canyon Wildcats stonewalled Mliford 56-33 Thursday in Region 20 girls basketball play. JaLeana Tsosie led the Tigers in defeat with 12 points.
Boys & Girls Swimming
RICHFIELD, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats swim team hosted their Senior night swim meet Thursday and finished in second place in both boys and girls.
Grand County won the boys meet with 115 points, one point ahead of Richfield’s 114. Emery finished third with 58 points.
Individually Richfield’s Max Graff won the 200 Individual Medley, Braxten Anderson won the 100 backstroke and Grant Kling won the 100 Butterfly and the 50 Free, setting a new school record in the 50 with a time of 22.61, breaking a record that held for 16 years. Richfield boys also won the 400 free relay.
In the girls Emery won the meet with 106 points, Richfield had 91 for second, Grand County came in third with 67 and North Sevier placed fourth with 5 points.
Individually Richfield’s Brooke Maxfield won the 500 Free and as a team the Wildcats won the 400 free relay.
