Jason Boothe Steps Down As Dixie State Athletic Director

ST. GEORGE, Utah-In news from the weekend, Dixie State athletic director Dr. Jason Boothe stepped down from his position.

In a statement, Boothe said he appreciates his time laboring in the athletic department at the St. George-based institution and looks forward to supporting the coaches and student-athletes in their pursuits.

Boothe, who had served in this capacity since spring 2010, played an integral role in Dixie State’s progression to an NCAA Division I athletic department.

During Boothe’s tenure, the Trailblazers won 24 regular season and postseason conference championships as members of the Pacific West and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conferences in NCAA Division II.

Boothe also raised Dixie State’s athletic departmental budget to $11.5 million from $3.9 million and increased booster donations by 114 percent.

Dixie State president Dr. Richard B. Williams said he is grateful for Boothe and his dedication to Trailblazer athletics in a statement.

Williams confirmed a national search for Boothe’s replacement is to commence immediately.
