(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Department of Transportation is warning drivers about the potential for hazardous driving conditions tonight. UDOT says heavy mountain and valley road snow is expected this evening in some areas of northern and eastern Utah. Most of Salt Lake City is covered by the warning, which urges drivers to use extreme caution if they are out on the roads. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of the Interstate 15 corridor through tomorrow morning, with some parts of the Utah mountains expected to get up to two-feet of snow.
