Walker Memorial Classic

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Kruz Gardner’s 20 points and 9 rebounds led the Hurricane Tigers to a 50-47 win over Manti Friday at the Walker Memorial Classic at Pine View High School. Reggie Frischknecht led the Templars in defeat with 19 points.

Non-Region

NEPHI, Utah-Ryker Richards and Justin Christensen had 13 points apiece as the Juab Wasps edged Providence Hall 49-47 Friday in non-region boys basketball play. McKay Stein had 15 points for the Patriots in the loss.

GUNNISON, Utah-Ty Brown stepped up with 12 points and the Altamont Longhorns edged Gunnison Valley 44-43 Friday in non-region boys basketball action. Jet Hill and Brogan Christensen had 9 points apiece in defeat for the Bulldogs.

CASTLE DALE, Utah-Landon Bowles led the way with 15 points and 6 rebounds and the North Sanpete Hawks edged Emery 45-44 in non-region boys basketball play Friday. Luke Justice led the Spartans in defeat with 13 points.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Brock Felder posted 13 points and the Parowan Rams hammered Valley 62-31 in non-region boys basketball play Friday. McCoy Harris had 11 points for the Buffaloes in the loss.

DUCHESNE, Utah-Conner Crum amassed 13 points and the Beaver Beavers waxed Duchesne 47-36 Friday in non-region boys basketball action. Jep Young led the Eagles in the loss with 13 points.

DELTA, Utah-Ridge Tebbs had 21 points for the South Sevier Rams in a 60-52 win over Delta Friday at the Palladium in non-region boys basketball play. Cai Henderson led the Rabbits with 19 points in defeat.

TROPIC, Utah-Treyson Clark led the way wih 28 points and the Bryce Valley Mustangs gashed Tintic 60-42 in non-region boys basketball play Friday. Holden Petersen had 18 points in the loss for the Miners.

JUNCTION, Utah-Gavin Morgan scored 17 points to lead the Piute Thunderbirds to a 52-43 win over North Sevier in non-region boys basketball action Friday. Keaton Rosquist scored 15 points to lead the Wolves in the loss.

Girls Basketball

Central Utah Preview

RICHFIELD, Utah-Breanne Wayman posted 11 points and the Manti Templars bested South Sevier 47-40 during the Central Utah Girls Preview Friday at the Sevier Valley Center. Alexa Robinson’s game-high 16 points led the Rams in defeat. Manti improves to 3-5 with the win and South Sevier falls to 3-4 in defeat. This was Manti’s first win against South Sevier since December 22, 2011.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Nicole Willardson had 19 points and 5 rebounds on 7-11 from the field as the Richfield Wildcats hammered Juan Diego 50-29 Friday during the Central Utah Girls Preview at the Sevier Valley Center. Alynn Crooms had 12 points for the Soaring Eagle in defeat. Richfield improves to 7-2 in victory as Juan Diego falls to 0-9.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Trey Torgerson posted 12 points on 5-7 from the field and the North Sevier Wolves doubled up Enterprise 48-24 Friday at the Sevier Valley Center during the Central Utah Girls Preview. Noah Moyle had 7 points and 4 rebounds in the loss for Enterprise. This was North Sevier’s first win against Enterprise since December 30, 2015.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Janel Blazzard’s 14 points and 5 assists led the Morgan Trojans to a 58-38 rout of Carbon Friday during the Central Utah Girls Preview at the Sevier Valley Center. Sydney Orth had 10 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for the Dinos.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Avery Brown led the way with 14 points and 5 rebounds on 6-11 from the field as the Beaver Beavers humbled North Summit 42-33 during the Central Utah Girls Preview Friday at the Sevier Valley Center. The Beavers shot 92 percent (12-13) from the foul line for the game. Chezlie Langston had 10 points and 6 rebounds for the Braves in the loss.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Jaden Johnson posted 14 points and 8 rebounds and the Canyon View Falcons outlasted Union 49-45 in overtime Friday during the Central Utah Girls Preview at the Sevier Valley Center. Grace Thomsen netted 13 points and 8 rebounds for the Cougars in defeat. Canyon View improves to 4-4 with the win while Union falls to 2-7 in defeat.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Kelsey Grant netted 10 points and 4 rebounds on 4-7 from the field as the Duchesne Eagles outlasted Kanab 42-40 during the Central Utah Girls Preview at the Sevier Valley Center Friday. Anna Cutler’s 14 points led the Lady Cowboys in the loss. Duchesne improves to 6-4 on the season as Kanab slumps to 6-2.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Mary DeGraffenried netted 17 points and 6 rebounds as the Millard Eagles outlasted South Summit 56-51 Friday during the Central Utah Girls Preview at the Sevier Valley Center. Aubree Lunt added 14 points and 9 rebounds on 5-8 from the field for the Eagles in victory. Reagan Sanderson had 23 points and 4 rebounds in the loss for the Wildcats. Millard improves to 8-1 on the season with the victory.

Non-Region

MOAB, Utah-Megan Zunich had 21 points and the Grand Red Devils humbled Escalante 48-30 in non-region girls basketball play Friday. Kenzie Lyman had 14 points for the Moquis in defeat.

TROPIC, Utah-Kristen Stewart netted 15 points and the Bryce Valley Mustangs stonewalled Tintic 38-9 in non-region girls basketball play Friday. McKenzie Brunson had 5 points in the loss for the Miners.

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Heather Kerr stepped up with 20 points and the Pinnacle Panthers routed Wasatch Academy 43-8 Friday in non-region girls basketball play.
