Boys Basketball

Non-Region

MANTI, Utah-Ryker Richards led the way with 18 points on 9-14 from the field as the Salem Hills Skyhawks clobbered Manti 77-51 in non-region boys basketball action Tuesday. The Skyhawks shot 53 percent (31-58) from the field in the win, as they improved to 3-5 on the season. Larson Pogroszewski’s 14 points on 5-9 from the field led the Templars in the loss. Manti fell to 4-2 in defeat.

Manti returns to action Friday at the Coach Walker Memorial Classic against Hurricane at Pine View High School.

Salem Hills next plays Thursday as they visit Real Salt Lake Academy at Herriman.

SALT LAKE CITY-Wesley Nielsen posted 26 points and the Juab Wasps smacked Judge 72-56 Tuesday in non-region boys basketball play. Will Selfridge’s 19 points led the Bulldogs in defeat.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Andrew Barnes netted 25 points and the Canyon View Falcons pummeled Delta 69-41 in non-region boys basketball play Tuesday. Wayland Carne had 11 points in the loss for the Rabbits.

Girls Basketball

FILLMORE, Utah-Aubree Lunt stepped up with 14 points and the Millard Eagles waxed South Sevier 47-40 Tuesday in non-region girls basketball play. Hayzen Taylor and Kinley Jenson had 11 points apiece for the Rams in defeat.

KAMAS, Utah-Reagan Sanderson’s 19 points led the way as the South Summit Wildcats got past Manti 53-47 in non-region girls basketball play Tuesday. Heidi Jorgensen had 10 points for the Templars in the loss.

BEAVER, Utah-Nicole Willardson amassed 16 points and the Richfield Wildcats pounded Beaver 53-29 Tuesday in non-region girls basketball play. Avery Brown’s 10 points led the Beavers in defeat.

CASTLE DALE, Utah-Tambrie Tuttle posted 16 points and 5 steals and the Emery Spartans stymied Delta 46-34 in non-region girls basketball play Tuesday. Kate Smith led the Rabbits in the loss with 11 points.

OGDEN, Utah-Doki Jensen led the way with 11 points and the Ben Lomond Scots humbled Gunnison Valley 36-27 Tuesday in non-region girls basketball play. Raven Pickett’s game-high 20 points led the Bulldogs in defeat.

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Waterford held Wasatch Academy scoreless in the first half en route to a 37-7 win over the Tigers Tuesday in non-region girls basketball action.
