SALT LAKE CITY-A pair of Utah Utes and a BYU Cougar were named to the Sporting News All-American Team Tuesday.

The Utes were represented by junior linebacker Devin Lloyd on the first team and senior offensive lineman Bamidele Olaseni who made the second team.

Lloyd (a team-high 106 tackles; 22 tackles for a loss, 8 sacks) is the 10th consensus All-American in program history and has now obtained All-American honors from seven outlets.

Allgeier made the publication’s All-American second team.

The sophomore tailback ranks eighth nationally in rushing yards (1,409) and is tied for the national lead in rushing scores (20). Allgeier’s 133 scrimmage yards per game also rank him 16th nationally.
