UVU’s Aimaq Named Lute Olson National Player of the Week

BOSTON-Monday, Utah Valley University center Fairdaws Aimaq was named the Lute Olson National Player of the Week after leading the Wolverines to a pair of overtime road wins last week against Pepperdine and Long Beach State.

Over the course of the past week, Aimaq averaged 29.5 points and 15 rebounds per game, adding three blocks, two steals and a pair of assists.

The Lute Olson Award is annually presented to the top player in Division I men’s college basketball.

This award will be granted April 1 at New Orleans, the site of the NCAA Men’s Final Four and subsequent Division I national championship game.

Aimaq and his Wolverines teammates return to action Monday at the SoCal Challenge against Idaho at San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
