(Salt Lake City, UT) — The vast majority of money going to Utah state legislators appears to be coming from special interests. An analysis by “The Salt Lake Tribune” says special-interest groups gave 92 percent of the campaign money raised by members of the 2017 legislature in last year’s election. Former chairman of the group Utahns for Ethical Government, Kim Burningham, tells “The Tribune” says there should be donation caps to limit special interest influence.
