MT. CARMEL JUNCTION, Utah-Thursday, the Beaver boys cross country squad and the Parowan girls cross counry team each won Region 19 championships at Thunderbird Golf Course at Mt. Carmel Junction. Kanab High School served as the host school for the event.
The Beaver boys posted a score of 51. Kanab finished second with a score of 56. San Juan placed third with a score of 65. Parowan placed fourth with a score of 77. Enterprise placed fifth with a score of 110 and South Sevier finished sixth with a score of 131.
The individual boys champion in Region 19 is Beaver senior Jason Cardon in a time of 17:05.10
For the girls, Parowan posted a score of 43 to win the region crown. Beaver placed second with a score of 47. San Juan finished third with a score of 78. Enterprise placed fourth with a score of 89. South Sevier finished fifth with a score of 137 and Kanab placed sixth with a score of 149.
Parowan senior Adelyn Crockett earned the individual title in a time of 21:35.70.
