ST. GEORGE, Utah-Thursday, Dixie State athletics director Dr. Jason Boothe announced the university and head football coach Paul Peterson have reached an agreement on a contract extension that runs through the 2025 season.

Peterson was named as the head coach December 2, 2018 and signed a five-year contract at the time that would run through the end of the 2023 season.

With the new extension agreement, Peterson’s contract will be extended two more seasons through December 2025.

Peterson is presently 10-11 in his third season at the helm of the Trailblazers’ program.

Dixie State celebrates Homecoming Saturday by hosting the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks.
