Over 700 Afghan Refugees Heading To Utah

(Salt Lake City, UT) — More than seven-hundred refugees from Afghanistan are expected to arrive in Utah in the coming months. Governor Spencer Cox’s Office says Utah will take in 765 refugees and most of them have been granted humanitarian parole due to threats to their safety. Officials added that the refugees will be able to work in the state once they’re resettled and a fund has been set up to help them. Those looking to donate can do so online at utahcf-dot-org.
