Utah DOC Director On Hacked List Of Names Kept By Oath Keepers

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A hacked list containing the names of supposed members of an anti-government militia contained the name of a top Utah government official. A group called Distributed Denial of Secrets released a massive amount of emails and lists for the far-right group, the Oath Keepers. The data contained the name of Department of Corrections Director Brian Nielson. Nielson worked as the Sanpete County Sheriff before taking over DOC, and says he never joined the group, noting his contact information became widely available over the years.
