(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Cox will not seek to renew his order declaring a state of emergency in Utah due to drought. The governor said yesterday that he will not seek to extend the order past the end of this month. State lawmakers declined to extend the emergency order during a committee meeting last month. Cox says he will take action to renew the state of emergency if it becomes necessary.
