(Salt Lake City, UT) — Protesters on both sides of the abortion debate are making their voices heard in Utah. Pro-abortion protesters went to the steps of the Utah state Capitol Saturday to rally in support of a woman’s right to choose. The rally sponsored by the Satanic Temple of Utah had been scheduled for last year but was canceled due to the pandemic. Abortion opponents held their own competing rally nearby. Utah is one of several states that has passed a law that would outlaw abortions if the U.S. Supreme Court overturns the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. The high court will hear oral arguments on a Mississippi anti-abortion law later this year.
